Prior to the most recent comic, Canned Ham was strictly black and white. I had been playing around with this idea for a while and finally decided to go for it. For this step I use a 50% Warm Grey Prismacolor Marker. I use the Warm grey because it is a darker grey and when I scan in the image, bring it into Photoshop and grey scale it, it keeps it's integrity. In order for this to look good on screen and print you must make sure you are judicious in your placement of your grey, too little it won't translate, too much it might look to heavy and take away from the rest of the art. Next steps deal with the computer so get ready to scan, scan,and scan! |
